A Reason For Working For Yourself!

January 15th, 2009 by admin
I’m sure you’ve heard all the reasons for why you
should work for yourself.

You can work when you want. You can be your own
boss. You won’t have to commute, and on and on. All
true, all great, and all good reasons for setting up your
own business.

But there’s one reason that no one ever talks about, and
it’s very strange because it’s one of the most powerful.
Working for yourself, from home, can have a dramatic
effect on your taxes. That’s not because you’ll be earning
less, there’s no reason for that to happen. It’s because
many of your everyday expenses now become tax
deductible. Especially if you start a Home Business.

If you set up an office in your home, and use it for no
other reason than your Home Business, you have extra
deductions. Not all of your expenses are tax deductible,
but anything which relates to that business can be, if not
fully, at least in part, and can be taken off your profits,
reducing your tax liability.

Make a clear outline of your office area, and compute the
square footage for that area. Then figure out the percentage
of square footage of your office area. That will determine
what percentage of certain expenses you can deduct.

Example: If your house is 2000 square feet, and your office
area is 200 square feet then you can deduct 10% of expenses
from your taxes for rent (mortgage payment), electricity
(utlilities), phone, water, etc., etc..

There are also expenses which you can deduct totally. So as
an online Home Business, that’s obviously going to include
the cost of a new computer, your Internet connection, the
price of your domains and server (hosting) charges, Office
Supplies, and Advertising.

If you drive to the computer store to buy a new mouse or
pick up new printer ink, then your mileage to and from the
store will be deductible too. If you take a family vacation in
Vegas or Florida and happen to spend a day or two at a
marketing conference, your trip’s expenses will be deductible.
If you ask one of your children to help out with your site, their
allowance can become a wage as an independent contractor,
not as an employee and becomes tax deductible.

Suddenly, every time you spend money, you’re taking a little
bit off your tax bill at the same time. Clearly, it’s not quite
this simple. There are all sorts of conditions, limitations and
other issues that will affect your tax deductions. Before you
claim anything, it’s always a good idea to speak to a tax
professional. These things really aren’t worth taking risks
for.

There is also a book you can purchase explaining what
deductions you can take that quotes IRS law, verse and
chapter. It’s called ““It’s How Much You KEEP, That Counts!
Not how much you Make” by Ron Mueller it is the guide for
Home-Based businesses taxes, and the Ultimate tax-reduction
book on the market today. It’s cost is $37, and yes it’s tax
deductible. You can get it here:
http://www.hypertracker.com/go/whylee/TaxDeduct1/

But understand that becoming an online Home Business, and
working it from home it can affect your income tax bill. If you
do it right, it can make it a lot smaller, and maybe get you a
refund.

There is a great new website, currently in pre-launch called
Cagora, which has a number of things they offer for starting a
Home Business. They are a massive Business/Social Network
with over 25,000 Local and Special Interest community’s.
And, it’s Free To Join.

You can start a good Home Business by becoming a Community

community. Whether it be for a Town - City - State - or Country,
or a Passion such as Sports - Knitting - Cooking, etc.. There is
only One Community Partner For Each Community, they run
for a specified period of time, and come with a money back
guarantee. The purchase of the Ad Package is a one time out
of pocket expense, and since it is Advertising … It Is Tax
Deductible (In the U.S.).

Tex-Mex Food, Salsa Food, Mexican Food and Sandwiches so

Make Income From Your Passions?

January 15th, 2009 by admin
If you’re like me, in these tough times, with the economy
as it is, you probably need to make some extra income.
You also need to do so without giving up all of your free
time and giving up the things which you’re passionate
about. A great way to put some extra money in your
wallet, could be to make money from those passions.

Think about it. What are you passionate about, and what
are you good at? The only thing important at this point is
if you’ve reached some expertise at it. That could be sports,
knitting, quilting, bird watching, cooking etc.. If you enjoy
something, and you love it, and can exhibit your passion
about it, then you may be able to make money at it.

It’s important to understand if you’re good at these
activities you can make money from them, if you’re having
difficulty coming up with something you enjoy, sit down,
give it thought, and make a list. These can be things you’re
good at, participated in, or regard as a hobby.

When you have a list, think about how you could possibly
make income from those things you’re passionate about.
One thing to consider is how much you’ve paid to do them.
Almost every passion will involve some monitary cost.

Think about items and services that you pay others for,
such as courses, membership in an internet site, buying
e-books which teach you something, buying magazines
about your passion, being involved in a course for your
passion, such as crafts, cooking, knitting, sewing and a
number of others. Or, things to support your passion,
such as knitting needles, skeens of wool, sheet music,
instruments, sports gear, ingredients, kitchen appliances,
digital cameras, or software. And, paying someone to train
you.

In doing this you can determine that you’ve spent a good
amount of money on your passion over time. Write down
anything you’ve bought when you were just getting started.

Ask yourself, what service could you offer to others?

Look at the list you wrote out, are any of those things you
could offer to others? For example: “beginners’ guides”
when you were starting out with your passion, can you
write an article for others who are new to it? Could you
become an affiliate for e-books on the subject which you
could sell to others?

If your passion involves regularly buying items to support it,
could you sell these to others online, on ebay, or at a local
flea market? Give thought to what skills you’ve learned which
you could teach others. You could produce materials such as
audiobooks or ebooks. You could run training sessions or
courses and be paid for those.

Give thought to; does your passion produce something which
could be shared with the world? Every art or craft applies
here. If you have a passion for painting, creating graphics, or
other works have you ever tried to sell those? If your into
photography and take great photos, rather just putting them
on Flickr, have you tried selling them? There are a number
of websites which will allow you to do that.

Once you start brainstorming, you’ll be surprised how many
ways there are to make money from your passions. The problem
may be to choosing just one to go with!

Can you make money from your passions? YES. Do you have a
passion that you you could make money from? SURE.

We at Cagora would love to have you join us. We currently have
10,000 published Special Interest Community’s (Passions), with
more to be added. You could become the Community Partner for
Your Passion!

Community Partnerships have only one partner per community.
They are a one time out of pocket expense. And, they run for a
specified period of time, and come with a money back guarantee.

What can You do to make money in 2009?

December 29th, 2008 by admin
People are asking me, what can I do to make money
in 2009?

Here is my recommendation, and here are the facts.
Why do I recommend your doing this, well it’s
because I speak from what I know. I am doing this
and making income. My name is Jude Sutton and
I’m a Founding Member and Community Partner
with Cagora.

As more and more people lose their jobs, with a bad
economy, and a need to supplement their income
they will be coming online.

Just like You and I, they will be looking to see what
they can do to make something happen, and they
will be looking for a minimum of four things

1) An affiliate program where they can concentrate
their efforts to make income and where they can
Join Free to start with, and learn the ropes quickly.

2) Advertising that works for them because the word
needs to get out to advertise their programs.

3) A way to advertise on one site and get income
streams from a number of quality products.
4) Get cash in their pocket ASAP.

If you are a member of a site that has at least all four
of these assets, then you have a head start on 2009.

My recommendation is Cagora!

So what is Cagora? Cagora is a massive Business/Social
Network, which you can Join For Free. With Cagora you
have 1 site in your arsenal that has all four of the above
assets, and considerably more. During the month of
January we will be in pre-launch. During the pre-launch
you can not only become a Free Affiliate, but, you can also
become a Free JV Partner with a 5% override commission,
and you will have products which everyone will need and
want. In addition when someone signs up under you they
are tagged to you for life. So if they make a purchase the
day after joining or 2, 5, 10 years down the road, you will
receive a commission for that sale.
You need to Act Now though, because the Free JV
Partnership will be removed forever when we go to full
launch in February. You can go here to register for Free:
http://wylie.cagora.com/overview/intro/

The products offered are all quality products and they
are going to be sought after in 2009. They meet all the
criteria to earn you and your client substantial income.
And, because they are an Advertising Product they may
be tax deductible depending on what country your in, so
you or yuour client need to check with your Tax Preparer
or Accountant. Why not let The Government Pay for these.
Does the word ‘Bailout’ sound familiar, it might be our way
of getting one.

Here are some of the products offered:

The Community Land Rush - Cagora has 25,000 world
wide community’s which are up for sale. They are virtual
real estate and sold as advertising packages. 10,000 of
those are LocalWorlds (Towns, Cities, Counties, States,
etc.), the other 15,000 are Special Interest Community’s
(Food, Rock Climbing, Quilting, Sports, etc.). These
community Partnerships will have only 1 Community
Partner, and they come with a money back guarantee.
They range in price from $500 to $16,000 based on
population and/or passion interest. For a Limited Time
if you or they become a Community Partner you or they
will also be given 1 Postal Code Partnership which is
worth an additional $500 on it’s own.
http://tinyurl.com/Land-Rush-Opportunity
The Local Search Dominator - The Local Search Dominator
package sells for $247USD in year one which includes all of
the features in ’The Community Edge’ below and gives your
client a system to gather Rave Review Testimonials and gives
them Guaranteed Front Page Google Ranking for their category
and they don’t pay a cent until this is achieved. Or, For $147
USD a year they can buy Cagora’s ‘The Community Edge’ which
provides a fully hosted detailed website with Photo slideshow
and Video Informercial and $20 is donated to a Charity or
Community Group of their choice and they get a sticker for
their shop window to show they are supporting the Community.
http://tinyurl.com/Local-Search-Dominator

These plus the Postal Code Partnership, Community Sponsor,
and other products can be the answer to earning income. And,
you can work these on or offline. They are perfect for starting
your own Home Business.

So where do you start? Here is where I would begin:

The History of Wylie.tx.75098

December 16th, 2008 by admin
Wylie, Texas is located in the Southeast corner of Collin County
sixteen miles south of McKinney, Texas (The County Seat). It is
located on State Highway 78 (N. & S.), and intersects with Farm
Road 544 (E. & W.), one quarter mile south of Ballard Avenue or,
Main Street as it were.

Wylie was originally organized in the early 1870’s as
Nickleville,
Texas and it is said to be the name of the first store founded.
In 1886 the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway laid track about
a half mile north of the original town site. Within a year the
Nickleville businesses moved to take advantage of services
provided by the railroad, and in
doing that renamed their new
location Wylie. The name Wylie was for W.D.Wylie, a Civil War
veteran, and Right-of-Way agent for the railroad. The city is now
situated one half mile north of the original center.

In that same year it was granted a post office, and
incorporated,
with an alderman form of government.

In 1888 the St. Louis Southwestern railway came to
town. The rich
agricultural region, and the two railroads contributed to the town’s
growth. In 1890 the population of Wylie was 400, and grew to 773
by 1900.

Prior to 1920
the city had over thirty five businesses, including two
Banks (Current banking is now Capital One, Chase, Inwood National,
and The American National Bank of Texas). It also included a school,
and a weekly Newspaper (Wylie now has multiple schools including
elementary, middle and High Schools), and (It still has a newspaper
by the name of the Wylie News. I’m not sure if this is the same paper
or not).

In 1920 Wylie received electrical service and streetlights,
and in 1923
the main street (Ballard avenue), was changed from dirt to a graveled
street.

Unlike many rural Texas town’s, Wylie grew during the
depression
years thru 1940, and this was a result of increased dairy production to
meet the growing demands of the Dallas area. And, by 1940 reached a
population of 914.

Wylie as well, enjoyed the self-proclaimed “onion capital of the world”
title in the 30’s and 40’s. “Wide Awake Wylie” became the city’s
nickname in the late 40’s and 50’s for the late night get-together’s of
citizens in which businesses stayed open until midnight on some nights.

Following World War II the population continued to increase. The
construction of Lake Lavon five miles north of town and the selection
of Wylie to house the offices of the North Texas Municipal Water
District, designed to provide water for towns in four counties, pushed
the population to 1,804 in 1960. In the next twenty years the population
more than doubled as a result of the growth of the Dallas urban area.

In the late 70’s, Wylie began to receive some of the D/FW growth.
Specifically in the 1980’s and 1990’s, Wylie’s population grew significantly.
In 1980 there were 3,152 residents and ninety businesses in Wylie. In
1990 the population was 8,716, and Wylie had spread into Rockwall and
Dallas counties.

The 1990’s also saw two major catastrophes. On Mother’s Day in 1993,
a tornado hit Wylie. In December 1998, two fires (one on the 9th and
another on the 11th) destroyed and/or damaged a dozen or so businesses.
The city and it’s citizens used this to revitalize the downtown area. By the
year 2000 the population was 15,132.

In the 21st Century, Wylie has become one of the fastest growing
communities in Collin County, DFW metropolis and the State of Texas.
In fact, it is listed number 8 in fastest growing cities nationally. With that
growth, the City has made a transition from a “bedroom” community to a
“balanced” community combining quality residential living with a healthy
business climate.

So there you have it as far as I know.

The Police Department in WylieTx75098

July 10th, 2008 by admin

This article is about the unsung hero’s in Wylie Texas. Specifically the Wylie Police Department. Wylie is a town in Southeast Collin County with a current population of 32,696. Not much is ever said about Law Enforcement in any community, but I wanted to give this department it’s just recognition.

When the city of Wylie Texas was formed in 1887 it had a Town Marshall as it’s law enforcement. This Town Marshall was a more administrative function than law enforcement. The longest holder of that station was Ham Hawrey who held it for about 6 years.

The Wylie Police Department came into being in the early 60’s when Barney Gaylor jr. was hired as it’s one and only police officer. The force at that time had a police car, and a small building erected next to a fire house was the jail. At that time the population was approximately 1,804.

Today however, the city has a population of 32,696 and is listed as number 8 in the fastest growing suburbs of Dallas Texas, and it’s projected to reach 39,000 by the end of 2008. The Police Department has grown to a reported 40 Officers plus admin staff.

The men and women of this police force are dedicated and committed to providing safe and secure neighborhoods through community oriented policing, improving the quality of life for it’s residents.

Let’s take a look at this department.

First and foremost are the Patrol Officers who are the front line in protecting and policing this community. They have currently one K-9 unit, with another in training. They are responsible for initial crime investigation and the protection of Wylie’s citizens. They provide around the clock 24/7 preventive patrol, service calls, traffic investigation and enforcement, and enforcement of all laws local, federal, and state. They are the first contact for the lost and homeless in the community. They have had one officer shot in the line of duty who survived those injuries.

School Resource Officers are stationed inside Wylie ISD schools providing school security, classroom instruction, anti-drug and alcohol instruction, and act as mentors to the students. They are the link between the Wylie ISD and the Police Department.\

The Criminal Investigative Division. They have 5 detectives and a Seargent who handle about 90 cases a month total. This division is responsible for solving 2 cold case murders in the past few years. They are the people who do follow up investigations to crimes. They investigate all homicides and do the CSI work. They obtain the arrest warrants, search warrants, and gather evidence which leads to successful prosecution of criminal offenders, and the recovery of stolen property. They maintain the Sex Offender data list. This division is at the heart of the department and are responsible for the things mentioned above and more.

The Records and Statistics division is responsible for maintaining the Uniform crime Reports. The Crime in Wylie dropped 17% in 2006 to 1,794 compared to the 2005 figures set at 2,107, and is currently at a lower level. These figures are based on Part 1 crimes which is the industry standard as selected by the FBI.

The SWAT team is comprised of well trained officers and handles critical incidents such as hostage situations, barricaded suspects, and serve felony and drug warrants. They are certified officers who are a mixture of Patrol and other officers.

In addition the Wylie Police Department provides a number of special services to the community. Some of those are Free Gun Locks, Home Security Evaluations, Neighborhood Watch training, and Self Defense for Women. These are just a few of the things they provide, and the list is longer than I can put in this article.

So there you have it. The Wylie Police Department are a group of people who are here to protect and serve you. The next time your stopped for a traffic violation don’t think badly of them, they didn’t do the violation, you did.

When you see a Police Officer, thank them for their service and for what they do, and remember that it’s because of what they do that you, your home, and community are safe and secure.

Fire and Rescue in Wylie Tx 75098

July 7th, 2008 by admin

In todays world not much is said about the real hero’s in our communities. We mostly accept the fact that they are there but do not give them the credit or respect they are entitled to. This article will deal with the Fire Department in Wylie Texas.

The Wylie Fire Department covers approximately 60 square miles in Southeast collin county. Currently it has 2 Fire stations manned 24/7 and a temporary station, with a permanent Station number 3 under construction. The 2 permanent stations currently have ‘Quint’ fire truck’s. A ‘Quint’ truck combines the five functions of an engine and ladder truck, which are a pump, water tank, fire hose, an aerial device, and ground ladders. They also have 3 MICU ambulances which serve the current 32,000+ residents of Wylie of which a large percentage are elderly citizens, along with an ever growing number of young families, and businesses. Since the 2000 census Wylie has doubled it’s population, and is considered one of the fastest growing suburbs in Dallas Texas. The City of Wylie, and it’s Fire Department are dedicated to keeping up with the phenomenal growth of this area.

The Wylie Fire Department was founded and established in 1909, and their mission statement is “Dedicating themselves to provide a progressively trained, and fully equipped department in order to protect the lives, property, and environment of Wylie Texas”. This is a large task since they also provide service for the Southeast Collin County Coalition. In addition to Wylie Texas proper they also provide extra-territorial coverage under contract to St. Paul Texas and portions of Dallas County, Rockwall County, and Lavon Lake.

Their staff currently includes a Chief, assistant Chief, EMS Captain, Fire Marshall, Fire Inspector/Investigator, and Administrative personnel. They are rated as a Class 1 Department by the Insurance Services Office (ISO). They have a PPC rating of 1 which is split because of their outside protected area’s, which are properties located within 1 mile of a city limit border. The State Fire Marshall, G. Mike Davis, states that “a PPC rating of 1 translates into the best fire protection available, creating lower property insurance rates”.

Wylie Texas is located within 3 miles of Lavon Lake which provides the residents as well as visitors with great fishing, boating, camping, swimming, and water sports. The Wylie Fire Department has a Fire Rescue Division which is surpassed by none. They are well trained and have the best equipment available to them to do a superior job. They currently have 2 hovercraft, and an all terrain vehicle called the Ranger, and a pontoon craft called Marine 1 which they operate in the performance of their duties. This video will show you a Hovercraft Training Session. This is one of two Neoteric Hovercraft owned by the Wylie Fire Rescue.

the Wylie Fire Rescue.

Your community’s Fire Department is one of the key links to your community’s safety and existence. If you see a Fireman, Thank Him or Her, for their work and sacrifice.
